All in all, I like the cut, Sara was great (easy to talk with), and I couldn't beat the price for the amount of service I received. I live out of state and for the amount of services I received today, I would easily have paid 3 times as much. I definitely recommend Jiva and I'll stop in for a cut next time I'm in town.

Everything about this place makes you feel like you're being luxuriously pampered, just not at price you'd expect. You're greeted upon entering by the hostesses, offered a beverage, and have the opportunity to look around. The only real ding I have is there isn't anywhere to sit up front while waiting for your appointment.
I went to Shay and I can honestly say I don't think someone could have done a worse job if they tried. My hair came out several colors and one of them being blue, and another being grey. She knew she messed up too because she basically pushed me out of her chair because she had another appointment. Instead of trying to make it better or offer to fix it she tried to avoid me seeing my hair in the mirror and didn't have time for me. I don't know how someone who has been doing hair for so long could have done that terrible of a job. Not to mention she charged me $200 for her awful job. I spent 10 hours in the salon two days later trying to get it fixed by someone else. Do not waste your time or money on Shay. She doesn't deserve to be working in the hair business. AWFUL.
The atmosphere is very relaxing (supposed that's how they get away with charging so much), went in for a couple different treatments, my 30min facial was only 10min and they never took the $20 off for a promotion. Suppose it's my fault I didn't pay attention to the amount when signing.
I went in for a haircut and was greeted by the very effervescent Sara. I won't bore you with the details other than we discussed what to do with my hair. To my surprise (it's been a few years since I've been here) I was offered a neck massage. While it wasn't going to work out the tension in my neck, it was a nice addition. The "wash" room was dimly lit, cool, and had some soft music. Good space to relax for a moment and get your hair washed.
Fast forward through most of the cut, Sara took into account my propensity to not actually style my hair and gave me a cut that would work well with my low effort mantra. Offered me styling tips at the end and suggested some products, but wasn't pushy about it.

Beautiful Aveda salon. My experience here has always been great. People think it's more expensive, but in my experience it's not. Prices are very reasonable compared to other salons in the area. You get what you pay for.
