Our first son went to CUCCC and had a positive experience. However, when we had our second child we tried to enroll only to be told that there was a waiting list, which is unfortunate but understandable. Now, over two years later, our son is LOWER on the waiting list than he was just a few months after we put him on it. When we called six months ago we were told he was next in line. Today I was told that he was third in line. The reason for the discrepancy, according to CUCCC, is that parents are enrolling the siblings of children already attending CUCCC and get to bypass the wait list. Terrible business practice! In addition, it strikes me as more than slightly unusual that parents are suddenly enrolling TWO YEAR OLDS and bumping us down. We like the facility, but the logical reasoning of their wait list practices are severely lacking.
I currently work at CUCC and really love it. A few reviews found below may be a bit too much. I have found that the providers really care about the children and do their best to handle situations in a professional matter. You will find that with every child care center there are issues, however what matters is that this center continues to strive to better their employees and make the experience worth while for the children. I would be comfortable keeping my own children here.
After working there and having experience in all three centers, I would never send my children there. Hire a nanny, find a good in-home daycare, but please do not send them to CUCCC.
We sent our 9 month old son to this daycare for about 2 weeks and without a doubt I would say this is the most terrible place. There was one old lady who was the care provider and she just could not manage him. My son cried non-stop from morning 8AM to 3PM and she would do nothing to stop him... this happened daily for 2 weeks. Then we changed the daycare and from day one he was happy at the new daycare. It just hurts us allot when we think about it.
The CUCC Daycares are AWFUL! I worked at one location and could not believe how unfriendly they are to the children there. One teacher was turned in for leaving marks on the children. She talked to them as if she were another child. The parents were never informed of these matters either. After all of the legal paperwork they finally got her out of there but left her assistants who were almost as bad. That was in just one room so think of how the entire place is ran. I could not stand seeing the kids treated like that but when only one person speaks out who's going to listen. This place needs to be shut down!
