It's a little on the small side, but it's got some decent stores. Von Maur is great if you want high quality clothing in every size. Younkers has some nice things as well if you look hard enough. Plenty of dining options in or near the mall.
Unfortunately like many malls on the area this mall is dying. At least in my opinion. The restaurant locations are good! However, the mall proper has lost many of the most common stores (Hot Topic, Game Stop, Spencer's, Scheels). The stores that remain still hold up to high standards. The Bath and Body Works is great! The mall has a decent food court and is clean...it's just really empty, and that doesn't make for a great atmosphere.
Used to be the happening place. Unfortunately, this mall has been on the decline for many years now. Still anchored by a movie theatre, Von Maur, and a few others still hanging in there. If you do go, stop by Villa Italian for a slice of pizza from some good guys!
This mall is pretty dead. Not many stores. Good for exercise since it is not crowded. All the empty stores need to be filled. Clean place but sad with so few stores. I remember when College Square had a variety of shops. It was 'the' place to shop in this area. There were several unique gift shops, bookstore, music store, variety stores and so much more. The food court had so many options that it was often times difficult to choose. And the food was good. Now it seems hardly worth even stopping in.
Back in the 70's and 80's this was an awesome mall!!! Had a bridge going over waterfalls and pools filled with GIANT goldfish!! EVERY, and I mean EVERY storefront was filled at all times with great stores! You never saw a closed down storefront back then!! Today it's a total waste of time to go here!!! It offers basically NOTHING!!! Half the storefronts are closed and abandoned and the ones that are still opened aren't worth stopping in to!! I honestly don't see how this mall stays in operation!!! Malls are pricing themselves right out of business with the extremely excessive lease rates they charge people to have a storefront in their malls!!!! I used to run a small storefront in a mall and our *MONTHLY* lease was over $9000, yes--$9000, and that was for a VERY small storefront!!! I can't imagine what the bigger stores had to pay!!! Greed will be the ultimate downfall of most malls!!!
