I celebrated my graduation from the University of Northern Iowa here! The staff is pretty friendly and I enjoy their food and large margaritas.
Teachers eat free month. A very nice thing to do for those hard working folks. And you can't go wrong with the food and Margarita specials. Great service too.
Consistent Americanized Mexican food with a good menu variety. Service could be improved and has needed improvement over the last couple decades that I've visited. Main concern of service is slow completion of requests and missed order details. You have about a 25% chance of having a sub par experience. Food quality is good and usually is.
Tried the new chicken tacos...yum! Got our lunch in good time and it was still very hot. I did not have a great meal last time I was in, but this put Carlos back on my "okay option" list again!
Walked in with a group of 5, sat there for 20 minuets and promptly got up and left. At this point you may wonder why! Well, we sat there and looked at the drink menu and food, and were ready to order within 5 minuets of sitting down. Well, sadly for us we just seemed to be invisible to everyone who worked there, and were ignored the entire time we were there. We left and went to Amigos and had a great meal and service there. The restaurant was maybe half full the entire time we were there.
